Christmas Story

This winner of numerous international awards also won Jussi for best cinematography. It is the first big Finnish Christmas feature film and it truly justifies the fact, that Santa Claus is, with no doubt, originally from Finland. The title sequence with northern lights and falling snow is entirely CGI. I was already searching, testing and modifying different fonts when my colleagues at the post began to build the other stuff in 3D. The typeface had to be delicate and kind of frost crystal detailed but at the same time readable and visually intact. The hours spent were definitely worthwhile.
